"Big City Lion"
The German photographer Julia Marie Werner (Julia Marie Werner) first met a battered golden dog when she swarmed in the garbage, looking for food leftovers. Julia was in Spain on a working visit and saw how a man approached the dog in order to drive him away, but the animal carefully looked at the person. At that moment, it reminded her of Simba from the Lion King cartoon, and the girl simply could not leave him there.
A photographer named dog Chikko Leopold von Werner. Now he lives with her in Germany. Julia believes that he was thrown out of the car and left in the streets of Spain, where he survived for a long time. But, despite the pain, the dog began to sincerely trust the new owner.
Sometimes Chikko shy. But his curiosity always outweighs caution, and he travels everywhere with a photographer.
In honor of his brave and loyal pet, Werner creates a photo project “GROSSSTADTLÖWE” (“Big City Lion”). Chikko is a brave and noble king of the urban jungle. The photographer says that the dog taught her something: “It doesn't matter who you are, where you came from and how long you stay here, while you keep your curiosity and smile, you can become anyone.”
