Watercolor, filled with a sensitive love of nature, permeated with warmth and sunlight.
Abe Toshiyuki was born in 1959 in Sakat. After receiving art education at a national university, he worked as an art teacher for almost 20 years. But he always dreamed of becoming an artist, so in 2008 he stopped teaching and focused on his goal.
In recent years, Abe has held many solo exhibitions and won several prestigious awards.
“I perceive watercolor not just as a genre, but more as a musical instrument. For example, you can play jazz, rock and classical music on the piano. Also, depending on the feelings of the artist, watercolor can express a lot of things, ”writes the artist. His watercolors reflect Japanese love and deep respect for nature.
“In my opinion, in order for a work of art to have a real effect, it must turn deep emotions into the heart of the viewer,” says the artist. I suggest to check if you are affected by the paintings of the Japanese watercolor painter.
